10. Everybody is an "expert!" What a load. I imagine most "experts" are living in their parents basements, hitting the bong every hour or so.
9. Getting free information will cost me an arm and a leg. Why is it that SEO service fees are hidden? That scares me dude. Then, when I order it, it becomes an invitation to repeatedly suck my bank dry?
8. I can't tell the difference between any of the sites. The look and feel are all the same. It's as if they are saying "We copied the theme of the big SEO companies, so we are just like them" Go ahead and try to figure out the difference between a real SEO company and a phony. I'll wait...
7. Everything I buy will "sky rocket" my profits! Really?! That's great. because I was wondering how I was going to sell my collection of used sox. How much traffic will I need to sky rocket my profits?
6. Everybody has a key to "the back door" of Google or Yahoo. Right. The only people with back door keys to Google and Yahoo are Google and Yahoo, and they don't need them.
5. The dreaded "black hat SEO" warnings as endless page filling content. You can stop educating yourself reading this drivel, if you simply realize search engines frown on any type of spam marketing. Period. Black hat equals spam of any kind. Here is your diploma, now move on.
4. Every site is offering a "revolutionary new system to...". All of my money problems will disappear in 48 hours, and I will be on the high road to "financial freedom" instantly. In truth, Earning a living from a website takes hard work, and focus everyday to make really big money. You will also need to own some professional and analytical SEO tools that make your SEO life easier.
3. I must attend some $300 conference in Vegas. Why? Oh, I know, so that I can be like everybody else and shell out more money for a platinum program I just paid to have pitched to me. And hit the strip clubs at night.
2. The arrogance is laughable. I don't need another sizzling sales pitch about "SEO secrets" from an SEO 'guru' that just graduated high school last week. I'd rather remain ignorantly blissful, with my wallet in tact.
1. Snake oil selling websites can hit a top page rank, while long seated superior websites can be outshined by SEO tricks? I can't stand optimizing for a search engine. I want optimization for legitimacy. The long term value my site has over my snakeoil selling bretheren. I vote for SOL. Search Optimization for Legitimacy!
CoolSEOMarketingDirectory.com is a new breed of do-it-yourself SEO website. The SEO articles are all out in the open, free, with no hard selling, and virtually no internal services to buy. The products promoted are a collection of the best the entire web has to offer. It is a black website that probably chases away half its audience. I say good. If you need cookie cutter SEO there are thousands of sites like it out there. It definitely keeps the corporate SEO cookie cutter types out. Go for the free content and killer advice on product selection. You will learn a lot!
